The Dieng Plateau in Java, Indonesia offers three kinds of attractions: beautiful landscapes defined by volcanic activity and an active agriculture as well as old Hindu temples. The trip there is strenuous, but well worth it!

I stayed for two nights in a homestay in Wonosobo

This definitely looks like a place off the beaten track. The home-stay looks absolutely wonderful and just the type of place I would want to rest my head for a night or two.
