Imagine going to a Thai market, that becomes a dangerous place eight times a day? That is the case if you visit the Thailand train market in Samut Songkhram, that is on the train tracks just before the Maeklong train station.
When you walk through the Thailand train market it’s hard to imagine, that this track is still actively used by a train as the vendors with their goods and stalls have perfectly adapted to their selling place.

How to get to the Thailand train market for your travel planning
Quickest option
Recommended, if you also want to see other attractions in the area like the Amphawa floating market, Tha Kha floating market and Don Hoi Lot. Use the minivan service from the southern Bangkok bus station. You will reach Samut Songkhram in about 1.5 hours.
The longer and decent option
If you have more time you can make a day-trip out of it and take the train from Bangkok. You will drive right through the market with the train. You can find a good description of this plus a video in an article on Migrationology.

I have heard so much about the Samut Songkhram Train market that I really want to go there and experience it formyself. I will make a day trip that’s for sure and take a ride on the train. Thanks for sharing.
